Tamworth Marsupial Park
The Marsupial Park is a native animal experience unlike any other in NSW and the 14-hectare park has free entry. Children of all ages can get close to kangaroos, wallabies, cockatoos and emus, spot the different bird species in the free-flight aviary and hand feed the Indian peacocks.

Oxley Scenic Lookout
Located in Tamworth, just two kilometres from the city centre - at the top of White Street - Oxley Scenic Lookout has views of the city of Tamworth and Peel River Valley and is the perfect location for a picnic. The Oxley Scenic Lookout is open from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily.

Power Station Museum
Established in 1988, the Power Station Museum is located on the site where the 1888 steam engines powered the street lighting system. The beautiful 1907 Power Station and Municipal Electric Showroom building has been refurbished to display a range of unique exhibits.

The Big Golden Guitar and Visitor Centre
The Big Golden Guitar is one of the many ‘big’ attractions that can be found throughout Australia. Located in Tamworth, the monument is one of the best-known points of interest in the New England region and a major attraction during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum
The Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum is a must see for any bike enthusiast. The museum houses a private collection of 50+ motorcycles that are in pristine working order.

Tamworth Regional Gallery
The Tamworth Regional Gallery first opened on June 1, 1919 and was the Tamworth Art Salon and Art Library. The gallery was established from a gift of 100 artworks and art reference books by artist and collector, John Salvana. The first gallery was housed in the Tamworth Municipal Council Chambers - which is now the Community Centre in Darling Street.
